reviews:

"thought provoking and entertaining...all human life is here"

"In an age of anxiety, brooding over Brexit, this play also reminds us that what unites us is always stronger than what divides us. Director Liz Stevenson has skilfully woven the narrative out of rich reminiscence, sometimes dark despondency, but all with a hefty helping of native humour. A range of voices, ages and attitudes are all delivered by three consummate performers."

"quite a unique show and for people from Lancashire it is definitely worth seeing. It is only a short play but has plenty of comedy and as we say in Lancashire is a reet good night out!

"The set design is striking...transforming the community centre into a disco boxing ring with seats. Lancastrians is performed by three actors, Matthew Durkan, Roberta Kerr and Natasha Patel...they take on a dizzying amount of Lancashire characters, reciting verbatim, the words those interviewed actually spoke.

A new play from the people of Lancashire.

In Lancaster, three teenagers dream of the big city. In Burnley, a Muslim woman wants to be Miss Lancashire. In Blackpool, a bride-to-be is having cold feet…

Lancastrians is a new play made using the real words of 500 people interviewed about living in Lancashire. Three actors will take you on a whistle-stop tour of the county, playing a multitude of characters in a variety of locations, creating a snapshot of Lancashire life.

From the familiar to the extraordinary, Lancastrians captures the essence of everyday life from a diverse range of voices that fill this county.

Real words.

Real stories.

Real Lancashire.
