Liz is the Associate Director at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick and will be directing HANDBAGGED and THE SECRET GARDEN on their main stage in 2017. She will direct the world premiere of HOW MY LIGHT IS SPENT by Alan Harris in April 2017, a co-production between the Royal Exchange Theatre, Sherman and Theatre by the Lake.
Liz won the JMK Young Director Award in 2015, for which she was awarded the opportunity to direct her production of BARBARIANS at the Young Vic. The production was nominated for an Olivier Award for ‘Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre’. In 2015 her production of WE ARE THE MULTITUDE for 24:7 Theatre Festival was nominated for a Manchester Theatre Award. After studying English at the University of Nottingham, she trained on the Theatre Directing MFA at Birkbeck, University of London. She has been an assistant director for the Royal Exchange, Hampstead Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe, Menier Chocolate Factory and The Gate.
executive producer | nick Stevenson
Nick is the Assistant Producer at Theatr Clwyd in North Wales. He is a programmer and line-producer for the theatre, recently working on THE NUTCRACKER, ALADDIN & SCARLETT (co-production with Hampstead Theatre). Nick is currently working on THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, co-producing Paines Plough's Roundabout Season and Theatr Clwyd's annual Family Arts Weekend.
Nick previously worked as a project coordinator for Nottingham Lakeside Arts and Lancaster Arts at Lancaster University and was the Associate Producer of the long-running JB SHORTS in Manchester. Nick has previously worked at Nottingham Lakeside Arts as their Arts Administration Intern, during which time he was the Coordinator for the East Midlands Children's Theatre and Dance Network. Whilst at university Nick was a Producer for and President of the award-winning The Nottingham New Theatre.
